Happy Freedom Day

Now that we have a new computer, I can finally catch up on posting. We took a road trip to Omaha to see the Hogs play in the College World Series, we celebrated Father's Day, and all the while these 3 kids are growing, growing, growing. Brooks turned 8 weeks today and is 11lbs. He loves to smile at his brother and sister and has slept all night long for us for 2 weeks now. I'm not sure when I'll get previous posts done, so I'm going to trick myself into feeling caught up by posting their July 4th picture up early. ;) Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!

Ella turned 4!

Phew, what a week. We had grandparents, aunts, & cousins coming out of our ears for Ella's birthday. She started off with her cousin Jake, had a party at the Little Gym with friends, and ended the next week with her cousins, Nadia & Audrey. I took the girls to see the movie Up and Aunt Aimee took them to get their nails painted. The kids miss everyone since they left and mommy misses all of their help. Thank you all for coming to celebrate Ella's birthday!

Our Little Gymnast

These are pictures from Ella's last class in gymnastics this year. She will start back up in the fall with her favorite teacher seen here, Ms. Stephanie.

Katy Days 2009

It was only for a day, but these kids sucked every second out of it. We got to meet Nadia & Audrey's new puppy, Rascal, and Brooks made his first road trip. Daddy even entertained the kids with a bull ride. Ella & Miller were wiped out by the end of the day as the picture on the car ride home shows.

Making Progress

These are before and during construction photos of our back patio. We have added on concrete and are covering the patio so we can enjoy our backyard in the afternoon without all the sun. It should be completed by this weekend. The kids have loved looking out the window waving at 'Johna' (Jonathon) and the other workers. The dogs have enjoyed wearing themselves out over at Grammy's during the day, and Mommy has decided once it's all over, 3 kids minus construction will be a breeze. ;)

Growing Kids

Miller wanted so bad to wear a ponytail like his sister, so I indulged him before bed one night. Look how happy he is! Both kids were drinking their milk at the restaurant like big kids and wanted me to take a picture of them. The picture of Brooks, is of course, the obligatory newborn picture with Gable, our 20 lb. cat.

Amazing Mari

We should all have a Mari in our lives. She is my nurse practitioner/midwife that has coached, counseled, and been through all of my pregnancies with me. She delivered all of my kids, except Ella, which gave me a complete appreciation for her as I had something to compare her to. She works very hard and has the most wonderful bedside manner. She not only takes care of the patient, but she ensures the well being of the mother/woman. Jason caught this picture of her bringing me sprite after delivering Brooks. I was so glad he did because it shows how thoughtful she is and how important it is to her to take care of the mom. How many doctors get you something to drink and patiently 'feed' it to you while you hold your child for the first time?

Just Over One Week Old

Hard to believe after just a week we couldn't imagine life without this little guy. He is so sweet and such a good eater and sleeper. He even had his first bottle on Mother's Day without any problems. He doesn't complain/goes with the flow and just watches his brother and sister in awe. He had a great checkup last week and impressed the dr. by rolling onto his tummy. He weighed in at 8 1/2 lbs Monday and continues to thrive. God is Good!

Mother's Day

Daddy took us all out to eat along with Grammy to celebrate Mother's Day. That afternoon Grandpa and Grandma Sharon came to meet Brooks and brought new books for the big brother and sister.

Brooks Cross Bohannon

Arrived Monday, May 4th 2009 at 8:09pm. He weighed 8lbs 10oz and was 21 3/4 inches long. His big brother and sister welcomed him with open arms and we all love him to pieces. Mommy and baby are doing great and are excited to see how his checkup goes tomorrow.

Race For The Cure 2009

We didn't quite make it early enough for the race this year, but got to enjoy the aftermath. I think the kids liked seeing the dogs from the Bark for the Cure more than anything...one of them was dyed PINK! They finally got to ride the train at the Promenade and the conductor even let Miller 'drive' and toot the horn.

Family of 4

We know this won't be the case much longer so spent some family time at the Botanical Gardens last weekend. Ella & I got some 'girl time' getting our nails done and I took the kids to the Farm Friends event in Fayetteville this morning.

2 Year Stats

Our big boy had his 2 year checkup and weighed in at a healthy 28lbs & 34 inches tall...50% for both. Both of his ears are healthy and clear of any fluid. He has exceeded all of the 2 year markers and is our favorite little commentator. We have so much fun decoding his sentences, 'Mommy, Tweed licked face me'. He is incredibly inquisitive and wants to be in the know of every sight and sound that is going on around him. He's a great helper and is thoroughly disappointed when he hears a door open, dryer start, or toilet flush that he wasn't able to execute for you.

Weekend with Grandma

We were so fortunate that Grandma decided to come visit for Easter weekend. Ella has not stopped talking about how much fun she had playing with Grandma and she wished she was still here. We went to the Razorback softball game, church, ate lots of yummy food, and finished the weekend with the hunt. It was so rainy outside, the Easter bunny snuck in our garage and hid the eggs there.

Sour Puss

This has been Chile's favorite sleeping/grooming/sunning spot since we brought the baby carseat out of the attic. It is going to require a good defurring & cleaning before we bring the baby home in it. I have a feeling Chile Pepper's not going to be as excited about this new addition as we are.

A great group of ladies came together to welcome this baby. He/She is already so blessed to have so many wonderful people that love him/her. Thanks again for the fabulous lunch!

Baby Update

We had our 36 week checkup and the baby flipped head down. Thank you for all the prayers and positive energy...it worked!!!! We could have baby anyday now.

Princess Accommodations

I didn't get a picture of it, but the remote control was a wand. Ella kept herself busy with multiple art projects friends brought and movies. She has been doing well at home and even got to go to school yesterday. I noticed she's smiling in every picture we took, but it wasn't always that way last week. Perhaps the funniest moment was when Ella was screaming and hollering and no one could console her and Miller said, "Ella... crabby". She just stopped and looked stunned and started laughing.
