Celebrating the 4th

How cute are these kids lined up ready to watch the show? Daddy got a very few fireworks to celebrate this year, and it was just enough. This crew(Amanda, Will, Ella, & Miller) eventually moved closer to the house and enjoyed donuts during the entertainment.

A Fish Named CHIP

Completely forgot to introduce the newest member of the Bohannon Family....Chip. Ella got to pick him and her aquarium out for her birthday. I really stressed about adding another animal to our mix, but he's turned out to be the lowest maintenance of all of us.

Swimming

Ella & her friend, Marissa took swim lessons earlier this summer from Ms. Courtney and learned a lot. They have since put their skills in the community pool. Ella has discovered she can do just about anything as long as she has her trusty noodle. When Miller saw her jumping in, he decided he would do it too(minus the noodle, but plus a daddy catching him).

Bauer Baptisms

My good friend, Tam, and her 2 daughters were baptized this past weekend and we were so fortunate to be a part of it. It has been a long time coming with pregnancies, babies, and lack of sleep, but God's perseverance made it happen. Congratulations Tam, Isabella, & Gabriella. And Congratulations to Tam & Steven on their marriage convalidation!

Coco Keys Waterpark

Our hotel in Omaha connected to a waterpark and made for a fun day. This was Brooks 1st time in the water and the kids' 1st waterpark. Mommy & Brooks got lost in the lazy river & some wild boys were pelting us with water, but a sweet little girl named Sarah came to our rescue.

Omaha Children's Museum

Our 1st stop in Omaha was the Children's Museum. They had the cutest little shopping area, carousel, and an entire Sesame Street mock up where daddy played Mr. Hooper.

Omaha Zoo

We spent 2 days at the zoo during our Omaha trip. We rode the train and saw all sorts of wild animals. But the favorite animal had to be this squirrel that ate the sunchips the kids dropped from lunch.

Hogs at the College World Series

We were blessed to be able to sit in the only row in general admission with shade & a breeze. The 1st picture is our view from behind our seats where people were already camped out in line around the stadium for the next game.

Happy Freedom Day

Now that we have a new computer, I can finally catch up on posting. We took a road trip to Omaha to see the Hogs play in the College World Series, we celebrated Father's Day, and all the while these 3 kids are growing, growing, growing. Brooks turned 8 weeks today and is 11lbs. He loves to smile at his brother and sister and has slept all night long for us for 2 weeks now. I'm not sure when I'll get previous posts done, so I'm going to trick myself into feeling caught up by posting their July 4th picture up early. ;) Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!

Ella turned 4!

Phew, what a week. We had grandparents, aunts, & cousins coming out of our ears for Ella's birthday. She started off with her cousin Jake, had a party at the Little Gym with friends, and ended the next week with her cousins, Nadia & Audrey. I took the girls to see the movie Up and Aunt Aimee took them to get their nails painted. The kids miss everyone since they left and mommy misses all of their help. Thank you all for coming to celebrate Ella's birthday!

Our Little Gymnast

These are pictures from Ella's last class in gymnastics this year. She will start back up in the fall with her favorite teacher seen here, Ms. Stephanie.

Katy Days 2009

It was only for a day, but these kids sucked every second out of it. We got to meet Nadia & Audrey's new puppy, Rascal, and Brooks made his first road trip. Daddy even entertained the kids with a bull ride. Ella & Miller were wiped out by the end of the day as the picture on the car ride home shows.

Making Progress

These are before and during construction photos of our back patio. We have added on concrete and are covering the patio so we can enjoy our backyard in the afternoon without all the sun. It should be completed by this weekend. The kids have loved looking out the window waving at 'Johna' (Jonathon) and the other workers. The dogs have enjoyed wearing themselves out over at Grammy's during the day, and Mommy has decided once it's all over, 3 kids minus construction will be a breeze. ;)

Growing Kids

Miller wanted so bad to wear a ponytail like his sister, so I indulged him before bed one night. Look how happy he is! Both kids were drinking their milk at the restaurant like big kids and wanted me to take a picture of them. The picture of Brooks, is of course, the obligatory newborn picture with Gable, our 20 lb. cat.

Amazing Mari

We should all have a Mari in our lives. She is my nurse practitioner/midwife that has coached, counseled, and been through all of my pregnancies with me. She delivered all of my kids, except Ella, which gave me a complete appreciation for her as I had something to compare her to. She works very hard and has the most wonderful bedside manner. She not only takes care of the patient, but she ensures the well being of the mother/woman. Jason caught this picture of her bringing me sprite after delivering Brooks. I was so glad he did because it shows how thoughtful she is and how important it is to her to take care of the mom. How many doctors get you something to drink and patiently 'feed' it to you while you hold your child for the first time?

Just Over One Week Old

Hard to believe after just a week we couldn't imagine life without this little guy. He is so sweet and such a good eater and sleeper. He even had his first bottle on Mother's Day without any problems. He doesn't complain/goes with the flow and just watches his brother and sister in awe. He had a great checkup last week and impressed the dr. by rolling onto his tummy. He weighed in at 8 1/2 lbs Monday and continues to thrive. God is Good!

Mother's Day

Daddy took us all out to eat along with Grammy to celebrate Mother's Day. That afternoon Grandpa and Grandma Sharon came to meet Brooks and brought new books for the big brother and sister.

Brooks Cross Bohannon

Arrived Monday, May 4th 2009 at 8:09pm. He weighed 8lbs 10oz and was 21 3/4 inches long. His big brother and sister welcomed him with open arms and we all love him to pieces. Mommy and baby are doing great and are excited to see how his checkup goes tomorrow.
