It was only for a day, but these kids sucked every second out of it. We got to meet Nadia & Audrey's new puppy, Rascal, and Brooks made his first road trip. Daddy even entertained the kids with a bull ride. Ella & Miller were wiped out by the end of the day as the picture on the car ride home shows.

Making Progress
These are before and during construction photos of our back patio. We have added on concrete and are covering the patio so we can enjoy our backyard in the afternoon without all the sun. It should be completed by this weekend. The kids have loved looking out the window waving at 'Johna' (Jonathon) and the other workers. The dogs have enjoyed wearing themselves out over at Grammy's during the day, and Mommy has decided once it's all over, 3 kids minus construction will be a breeze. ;)
Growing Kids
Miller wanted so bad to wear a ponytail like his sister, so I indulged him before bed one night. Look how happy he is! Both kids were drinking their milk at the restaurant like big kids and wanted me to take a picture of them. The picture of Brooks, is of course, the obligatory newborn picture with Gable, our 20 lb. cat.

Amazing Mari
We should all have a Mari in our lives. She is my nurse practitioner/midwife that has coached, counseled, and been through all of my pregnancies with me. She delivered all of my kids, except Ella, which gave me a complete appreciation for her as I had something to compare her to. She works very hard and has the most wonderful bedside manner. She not only takes care of the patient, but she ensures the well being of the mother/woman. Jason caught this picture of her bringing me sprite after delivering Brooks. I was so glad he did because it shows how thoughtful she is and how important it is to her to take care of the mom. How many doctors get you something to drink and patiently 'feed' it to you while you hold your child for the first time?

Just Over One Week Old
Hard to believe after just a week we couldn't imagine life without this little guy. He is so sweet and such a good eater and sleeper. He even had his first bottle on Mother's Day without any problems. He doesn't complain/goes with the flow and just watches his brother and sister in awe. He had a great checkup last week and impressed the dr. by rolling onto his tummy. He weighed in at 8 1/2 lbs Monday and continues to thrive. God is Good!
