Right Choices Maze & Pumpkin Patch

We went to a new Pumpkin Patch this year, and boy was it cool! Animals, games, slides, rides and lots of history. I tried to get video of the cow train while it would 'moo' but didn't capture it. It was the cutest thing. The kids got to ride on it through part of the corn maze. This will no doubt be an annual treat for us. By the way, Miller is missing shoes because Jason and I each thought the other brought them. Bad Parents!

Pickin' Raspberries

We accidentally came upon a raspberry farm this past weekend. What a special treat for the whole family. Ella was an expert picker. Miller preferred picking flowers and eating the berries. Of course the biggest hit was the farm cat, Mercury.

Channeling Ms. Hannigan

Ella's version of 'Little Girls' from Annie. I saw her walking around the house with her teacup and water pen (flask) singing. She's got it down! Watch out, Carol Burnett. Don't worry, she has no idea she's a drunk, just thinks she is really thirsty.

Silver Dollar City again

We took the kids back to SDC yesterday and actually found 1 ride we could all ride as a family, the mine. It hit me that this was the first time Ella & Miller had been in a 'boat'. Ella held my hand during the first time, then braved it on her own the next several times. She made us stop at every single gazebo that was playing music. These are pictures of her dancing. She loved it.

Resident Frog

We thought it was a temporary living situation, but evidentally our new friend is here to stay. He likes to get into the garage as much as possible, but lives in the landscaping if the door is closed. We have become so fond of this little guy, that when we come home at night, he is greeting us in the driveway. So, of course, we stop the car, get out, and shuffle him back in the yard to avoid running over him.

Benton County Fair

Despite the rain, the kids made it to the fair, thanks to Daddy. They saw lots of pretty animals, rode a miniature horse, sat on a john deere, and won a duck(Gable wasn't impressed).

Cherishing Children Challenge!

Daddy ran the 5K this weekend for the Children's Advocacy Center of Benton County. We were so proud of him. Ella dug the ring pops they gave the kids (guess what color?) and Miller liked his new bike won in the drawing.

Eating in the Dining Room

SHUT YO MOUTH! We are C-R-A-Z-Y. Ella thought it was a big adventure to eat in the dining room for lunch the other day. On the menu? Why cheese stick and applesauce, of course, minus the good china ;)

1st Day of School

Ella wanted her picture taken with their lunchboxes before school. They both did great. Ella said she had so much fun and Miller barely even noticed we were there to pick him up. We are all going to enjoy this weekly routine.

Neighborhood Kids

This was one of those days that we really needed to get inside for lunch, but the kids were having so much fun being creative building a tent in the garage that we let them play.

Happy Birthday Imagination Studio

The art project this weekend was to help celebrate the studio's birthday. The kids made birthday hats and decorated cakes. Ella even got to put her cake up on the wall in studio.

WHY?????

It's already started at 17 months old. Miller says this anytime I tell him 'no'. Ella & I think it's hilarious.

Look What I Did, Mom!

Ella was so excited that she had 'framed' her picture she drew of me. She wanted to get a picture with it so I could post it on the blog to show all the Grandma's & Grandpa's.

Up to No Good

Is this the face of a rotten kid or what?

Maisy

We bought this Maisy storybook for Ella over a year ago, and after seeing all of the itty bitty rippable parts, decided to put it away until she was older. She discovered it this morning on a high shelf in the playroom and requested to play with it. She has been in heaven ever since. She's giving Maisy a bath and tucking her into bed in these photos. I think someone is ready for a real dollhouse.

Gymnastics

The kids both started gymnastics this week. Miller is in a mommy/daddy & me class and Ella is in a big girl class. Ella loved her teacher and the music they played. Miller loved climbing things without being told to 'SIT DOWN'. He's shown here teaching a little girl, you don't mess with a man and his ball.

Annual Labor Day Picnic

In keeping up with the anniversary of our engagement, we went on a picnic at the lake. The only sand we could find for the kids to play in was on the volleyball court. Ella discovered a seashell, this butterfly, and a goose feather. She didn't really want to get her feet in the sand or the water. They both loved the little park. Ella said she loved doing a ''picinic''.

What could be better...

than ice cream in the park?

Fun with Playdoh

So Miller can finally play with playdoh while resisting the tempation to eat it. Ella got creative with toothpicks and made some snowmen.

Ella's 1st Big Girl Haircut

So, it was just a trim, but still very scary for a girl who hasn't had one since she was 9months old. Ella just kept repeating, "it doesn't hurt". It also didn't hurt that Ms. Kristen gave her a cool blue hairclip...her favorite color.

3 Grandmas

Ella & Miller got a special surprise this weekend: a visit by 3 Grandmas (Grandma and her friends Phyllis & Lillian). They brought up a yummy dinner & dessert on Saturday and joined us for church on Sunday. Mommy and Daddy actually were able to hear everything in mass since we had so much entertainment for the kids. Thanks for coming our way!
