Where's The Picnic?

This is Ella's newest & most repeated pose this week. She likes to throw her cup down and then say 'huh?' We met the Sharpless family at McClure park for a slightly rainy, but nice and cool annual Labor Day Picnic. As Jason says...'this is how it all began'

New Kicks!

Ella totally digs her new tennis shoes. She's so excited they make big people shoes in her size. I also had to include the shot of her first pudding. Believe it or not, she actually ate most of the corn and a kiwi.

My New Baby Brother or Sister

Isn't he/she cute? Mommy is 11 weeks pregnant and feeling great. The due date is around March 13th. The doctor said everything looks great and mom has the best hemoglobin she's seen in any pregnant woman.

Not quite blow, blow, blow

Ella wanted to be like the dogs, who kept drinking out of her pool while she was cooling off. We forgot to put a post that Ella now has 7 teeth. Her lower left lateral incisor erupted August 14th.

1st Pigtails

Ella was too cute not to take a shot in her pigtails getting ready to go to Walmart with Daddy. She was trying to put her shoes on by herself, but finally gave in and had Mommy help her. As Ms. Sheila says...this is where it gets fun. :)

Another Family Swim Day

Ella loves the pool more each time we go. She loves the slide and can climb the ladder all by herself.

We have been playing with Ansley this week, while her mommy starts her job. Ansley will start school in a couple of weeks, so we're getting as much of her as we can.

We celebrated Audrey's 2nd birthday and Nadia's 5th birthday this weekend. Ella worked the room with her accessories while the girls opened their gifts.

Born To Be Wild

We decided to get bikes as an early Christmas present to enjoy the weather while it's nice. Ella stayed in this position pretty much the entire ride, with a flower in each hand.

Good Helper

Ella's new favorite thing to do is 'help' Tippy eat her dinner. She's always got one hand on the bowl and either pets Tippy or gets food out of the bowl for her to find later. We just could not ask for better dogs!

Backyard Pool

Playgroup was in the pool today. Ansley debated getting in after sampling many blades of grass, but decided to join the fun in the end.

If You Give a Kid an IPOD.......

Can you tell at what point Daddy entered the room? Ella looked like such a big girl this morning getting ready to spend the day with Grammy & Grandpa. She has grown up so much in the past week. It is rare to hear 'dra dra dra' anymore, she can purr like a kitty, hold a laughing contest with Daddy, knows body parts other than belly button, will sit with the challenge of a shape sorter by herself for 10 minutes or longer, and actually gets within 6 inches of Chile Pepper before she runs away.

The Recline

Ella's favorite thing to do is recline on anything or anyone that will let her.

Shoe Diva

Okay, so the interesting part isn't that she carries my shoes around, it's that she ALWAYS has a matching pair. Such style at such a young age!

Laundry Basket Olympics

Ella & I found a fun way to do laundry. I pile it in on top of her, then I slide her into the laundry room as fast as I can go. Good exercise for me and lots of fun for Ella!

Great Family Day!

We celebrated new babies at Murphy Park last week. We thought Ella wanted to feed the ducks bread, but actually just wanted it for herself.

Meet My New Friend, Lauren

Today Mommy & I went on a picnic/playdate with Ms. Kendra & Lauren. Lauren is a fast 3 year old and liked to call me like a puppy. We played at beautiful Bogle Park, and Mommy was so proud of me that I didn't pick any of the flowers.

Independence Day

Just like last year, Mommy forgot to take a picture of me on the 4th of July. Luckily, Grandma had a disposable camera and was able to get a shot of me on her antique kid rocking chair. I enjoyed the fireworks, waving at them and clapping for them, but got bored with them after a few minutes and decided playing with the glow stick was more fun.
