1st Jackson Graves Wine/Chocolate Event

Last week I celebrated the life of Jackson Graves with some sassy ladies, wine, and yummy food. It was sold out and I would love to attend this event annually.

We've all made nice with T-Rex

No more T-Rex in TO. The kids seem to think he's okay and Miller's potty talk has drastically been reduced. He saves that language mostly for end of the day when he hasn't had enough nap. Like we've always said, he's a mean drunk when he gets sleepy.

A Duet

Our house in ICU

This was what our roofer found after removing the shingles...no flashing. :(

We had to move everything out of the office for drying

We have been so blessed to have our roof repaired and the restoration people here this past week to dry our walls and find the source of a leak in one of our windows. Praise God we had no mold and once they fix the leak, will put humpty back together again.

Happy Valentine's Weekend

We want to wish everyone a great weekend full of all things 'love'. Thanks to those that have sent the kids cards & gifts, they feel so special when they get mail. We love you!

Practice, Practice, Practice

When Ella gets it in her head that she is going to do something, she doesn't stop. She asked her dad to tape the carpet like Ms. Stephanie recommended so she could practice her cartwheels and handstands correctly. She's getting pretty good. I hope she keeps her passion and determination in everything she pursues in life.

Goodnight Moon at WAC

We took the kids to see Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny at the Walton Arts Center this weekend. I know this picture is fuzzy, but I was so impressed that it looked EXACTLY like the book. Afterwards we ate at Hugo's and went around the corner to grab a cupcake for dessert at Bliss.

Brooks' Break from Mom

This is the 2nd time that I have taken Brooks to Mom's Day Out. The facility is wonderful in that they allow me to take him on days that I have appointments scheduled and can't take him, which averages about one time/month. He doesn't take the greatest naps there, but really enjoys watching all of the kids and playing with the new toys. Ella & Miller make it their mission on those days to try and see him at every chance they get. He got to spend his first day with Grammy over the weekend as well. I could get used to this. :)

The Snow Can Be Not So Wonderful....

The culprit
H20 + Electricity=That just seems all sorts of wrong

Standing next to our computer, I noticed my socks getting wet and thought maybe the dogs weren't really going to the bathroom out in the snow. As I'm cleaning it up, I realize the 'liquid' is ice cold and is not stopping. We pulled out the bookshelves and discovered this wet corner of the wall. We have a 'dead valley' in our roof structure that needs to be redone to prevent this from happening again. Since we're expecting snow over the next couple of days, Jason is expecting to get on his ladder and pull as much snow out of that valley as possible to avoid further damage.

The Snow Can Be So Wonderful...

I think we got 6 inches of snow over a week ago and the kids couldn't wait to get out there and build a snowman with daddy. Since it snowed on Christmas and Miller got his jeep from Santa, he is under the impression that the Jeep is to be driven when it snows.

New Threads

My kids love getting new clothes and I will be sad when the day comes that they look at them and go 'ugh' one day. They were trying on some hats I got for next year and Ella was throwing her gang symbols at us. Meanwhile my yoga baby was practicing crawling and I couldn't help but catch a shot of those precious little feet in that pose.

So Proud!

Ella memorized and recited her address and phone number to her teacher and was so excited that she earned these certificates. We just found out she will be one of the first kids in her class to get a treat from the shot box because she got all of her kindergarten shots last year! Woo hoo, Ella!
