Today Ella went to school with her first real pigtails. We had to explain to daddy the difference between 'real' pigtails and the partial ones we've had to do in the past. This was a big Melissa M. 'wub' moment for mommy. :)
Ella was fascinated by the ashes on our foreheads and smiled in delight when I pulled a mirror out of my purse so she can see that not only is, "Mommy ashey, Daddy ashey" but Ella was also "ashey".
Ella loves to look for birds in Grammy's backyard everyday. When she finds one she directs her friends' attention towards the bird and says, "See Mawwy? See Dawwy?" Unfortunately, no bird has let her pet them yet.
How can a kid go wrong with 6 grandparents and 1 great aunt peanut? See the pretty flowers Ella and Daddy surprised Mommy with? We love all our Valentine's gifts! Thank you!
Mommy & Daddy both say that Ella has grown overnight, and this picture proves it! She measures 32 1/2 inches (34 inches with the ponytail). Her memory has become very sharp, as she can recall and associate things from over a week ago. She gets about most of the numbers counting 1-10 and tries to sing the ABC song. She is also talking up a storm and getting her point across very well. Her favorite game is hide and seek, with anyone who'll play with her, including dolly. She got her 2nd cuspid tooth this week and her favorite treat was the bait...cinnamon gum.
Ella has put these shoes on everyday for a week(she is literally changing into them when we come home from anywhere), but had nothing to wear with them until Aunt Carmen & Aunt Jennifer sent her this cute Valentine's Shirt! Today was the Valentine's Party at her school and she made cards for all her friends. Can you tell she's saying, "CHEESE"?
The family went to the Dr. today and Miller flipped head down. We just hope he stays there until delivery. Mommy's belly has grown a lot. She's measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule.
Ella was showing Gable much love after recovering from a very sick week. Hopefully our 25lber will continue to improve and be back to his old self again.
Since I forgot to take a picture of the playgroup, this is what you get. Lots of snow, school closings, and cooped up kids (and moms) makes for a great day for a playdate. Thanks for coming Noah, Jay, & Caleb.
